Zypsy is seeking a talented Brand Strategist/Copywriter to lead market research analysis, develop key insights, and craft compelling brand narratives. In this role, you will create concepts and stories that address our clients' brand challenges, define brand elements, and establish a consistent tone of voice. You will serve as the primary liaison between Zypsy and our startup clients, collaborating closely with our design team to ensure that clients' products, services, missions, and brand images are effectively communicated to their audiences.

Your strong writing abilities will enable you to create engaging copy in various tones and styles, tailored to resonate with each client's target audience.

Responsibilities

  • Gain and maintain a deep understanding of client business objectives and audience demographics.
  • Gather and analyze both qualitative and quantitative data to inform strategic decisions.
  • Lead the brand strategy process during 8-12 week brand sprints, ensuring alignment with client goals and timelines.
  • Collaborate closely with our Head of Design and Design Director to develop strategically focused brand concepts.
  • Create and facilitate impactful brand strategy presentations that resonate with clients and stakeholders.
  • Translate brand statements into copy for website wireframes, marketing assets, and all other branded communications.
  • Execute strategic processes, from research planning to creative brief development.
  • Act as the main liaison between Zypsy and clients, managing day-to-day contact, whether in brainstorming sessions, formal presentations, and internal team discussions.

What we’re looking for

Basic Qualifications:
  • 3-5+ years of experience as a Brand Strategist/Copywriter.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to effectively facilitate client meetings.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with clients.
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to construct and support arguments positively.
  • Ability to translate research into actionable insights.
  • Self-starter with the motivation to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Passion for collaboration and achieving the highest quality work as part of a team.
  • Comfort with managing multiple projects within cross-functional, remote teams in a fast-paced startup setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Communications, Creative Writing, English, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2+ Years of experience working in a startup and/or an agency environment.
  • Strong understanding of tech trends, tools and market conditions.
