While their competitors shied away from solving complexity, founder and CEO Idit Levine and her team embraced it, so that their customers wouldn't need to. With Solo.io, teams have the help they need to secure, observe, and control everything in their cloud environment.
Solo.io is a leader in API and AI gateways and enjoys the majority share of the service mesh market. World-leading organizations, such as BMW and Domino's Pizza, rely on Solo.io for their modern application networks.

The Challenge While Solo.io is at the leading edge of cloud and service connectivity, their branding did not communicate the value of their products or of doing cloud connectivity right. We needed to rebuild the Solo.io brand from the ground up, capturing what it means to do cloud connectivity right.
Working to a tight deadline with the new branding and website to be ready for KubeCon 2024, the Zypsy team were to develop 31 website pages, migrate 512 CMS items, and create 718 redirects.
The Zypsy strategy team worked closely with Solo.io to break down complex concepts into a simple story, explaining the benefits of doing cloud connectivity right and the pitfalls of doing it wrong.

We delivered branding designed to scale with Solo.io’s growth, moving away from the typical visual language seen in the cloud sector, which – well – usually involves a lot of clouds.
Instead of applying the common visual language found within the cloud market, the Zypsy design team dug deeper into the essence of what Solo.io represents, while leveraging the brand's name as a design mechanic.
At the heart of Solo.io is binary code, the simple 1s and 0s that provide the foundation for everything else.
For the new flagship logo, the Zypsy design team distilled the letters into a series of 1s and 0s. Throughout Solo.io’s branding – from website animation to airport ads – binary code speaks a visual language that is uniquely Solo.io and immediately recognizable.
PRODUCT DESIGN
As with the rebrand project, the challenge working on Solo’io’s products was to provide greater clarity.
We were to make it as easy as possible for customers to leverage the benefits of Solo.io's products.

Following an audit of Solo.io’s current product, the Zypsy product team delivered a consistent design system to ensure customers can easily navigate and use each feature.
By aligning all aspects of the products across every component and interaction, we created a single visual ecosystem with clearly defined pathways for users.
We are currently working hard to improve data visualization and develop monitoring systems for Solo.io. The work of the Zypsy product team so far is merely the initial step in an even greater scheme.
